Kids’ Chance of Washington
Every year, thousands of workplace accidents result in serious injuries, work related diseases and death to workers in Washington State
The consequences of these deaths and illness can profoundly impact the families of these workers for many years. This year, the Department of Labor and Industries’ Worker Memorial Day ceremony honored 93 workers who lost their lives in 2023.
Across the nation, 50 Kids’ Chance organizations help workers’ families when catastrophes occur. State Kids’ Chance organizations operate independently, with support from the national organization, Kids’ Chance of America, to obtain funds for scholarships and evaluate scholarship applications.
Kids’ Chance of Washington has awarded over $705,625.00 for 173 scholarships.
